Hi my name is Caroline Rice and I am proud to be the founder of SwimTech.
As an ex-competitive swimmer reaching National Standard I have been involved in swimming my whole life. We at SwimTech understand the growing need for high quality swimming lessons in the North East. I started SwimTech in 1995 teaching one to one’s in my local pool.
SwimTech is now a family run business; I work with my husband Tony, who has 20 years experience as a swimming pool operator and teacher. We are committed to provide an excellent customer experience where all will thrive.
SwimTech’s ethos is “providing a safe and enjoyable swimming experience for all”.
After years of using a range of private and public pools we now operate our own exclusive pool and are in the unique position to offer uninterrupted private lessons in a safe environment without the stress of other swimmers.
Our 15m teaching pool is a constant 30℃ and is ideally suited to people of all ages and abilities whether you’re a nervous beginner or would like to improve stroke technique.
We have chosen our team of teachers as they have passion, commitment and expertise in teaching swimming from toddlers to adults. They are sensitive to your individual learning needs and will structure lessons so they are productive, engaging and safe.
We believe that learning to swim is an important life skill, once learned it will last a lifetime and no person should go without this lifesaving skill.
We follow the A.S.A National Plan for teaching swimming and the lessons we deliver are from Stage 1–10.
We recommend Swimmers complete Stages 1–7 as these are ‘core’ parts of the NPTS.
